Gloriya Avgust is a Bulgarian multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Working across performance, text, and sculpture, her practice explores how intimacy, language, and desire become spaces of resistance, transformation, and the affirmation of life. Moving through themes of gender, ancestry, labour, the psychic, and the erotic as political forces shaping identity and belonging, she centres the body, particularly the mouth, as a site of vulnerability and revolt.





Gloriya Avgust received her MFA from the Piet Zwart Institute in 2023.
